For temperatures 34° F or below, the gauge will flash “ICE” momentarily as a warning that there may be ice on the road. The
automobile outside temperature gauge comes with a digital LED display and large numbers that are easy to read, even in direct sunlight. The red LED displays block numbering for clear perception of the digital gauge readings. If you prefer the Celsius temperature scale, instead of the Fahrenheit, select “Celsius” from the drop down menu titled “Gauge Bezel Colors.” Outside of the United States, the Celsius temperature scale is utilized for most tasks. Even in within the U.S., the engineering and scientific communities work with the Celsius temperature scale almost exclusively.
The drop down menu also contains the option for you to choose a chrome, or black, bevel for your outside air temperature gauge to match your truck’s interior. The bezel is the ring that surrounds the digital temperature gauge’s face to protect the edges of the auto glass. It protects the edge of the display and the space between the housing and the face, and provides a façade to match the rest of the dash board display.
Installation is a cinch for an aftermarket accessory like this
